Habitat: Marine; inhabits the bottom of rocky and coral reefs; often associates with Staghorn coral. Distribution: Carenero Island Natural History Notes: Solitary; carnivorous Depth: 3 - 30m Characteristics: Head, chest and fins yellow; dark brown to black behind the dorsal fin; extent of the two colours varies. Head displays striking bright blue lines. Some individuals have two black spots bordered by irridescent blue markings on the snout. Length 3 - 4in., max. 5in.
