Characteristics: From Reef Coral Identification : Low, broad, fan-shaped colonies, branched laterally with only occasional dichotomous secondary branching, all in single planes. Branches tend to be tightly compacted. Hard, rough calyces with sharply spike tips extend prominently. Pale yellowish brown to light brown; polyps white. Colony height: 4 - 12 in.
