Habitat: Inhabit sloping reef faces, under ledge overhangs and along walls. Distribution: Caribbean and South to Brazil Characteristics: Colonies form smal, thin saucer-like colonies. Ringes and long continuous valley form an uneven patttern of concentric circles radiating from center of colony. The ridges of deep water colonies are often low and inconspicuous. Polyps are only present in the valleys of the upper surface; the underside is quite smooth. Shades of purplish brown, chocolate, yellow-brown, tan, and greenish tan.
