Polyp: Solitary hydranth; hydrorhiza embedded in gorgonian tissues; hydrocaulus up to 50 mm long, thick perisarc of stem starts under neck of polyp; hydranth vasiform, with long hypostome; up to 50 oral pseudofiliform tentacles in 5 whorls and about 21 aboral pseudofiliform tentacles. Reproduction: Gonophores as eumedusoids, buds on 8 blastostyles with branched distal part carrying clusters of nematophores; eumedusoids without nematocysts on exumbrella, with 4 radial canals, marginal bulbs or tentacle rudiments lacking, manubrium without mouth, covered by gonads.
