Habitat: Found mainly about walls and sandy areas. Natural History Notes: Occasionally pair and seldom school. Feed on molluscs found by digging in the sand. They tend to be wary and thus veer from divers approach. Depth: 6 - 80 ft Characteristics: Numerous white spots and circular markings over a dark back. Pronounced head with a flat tappered snout. Tail is long and thin and is armed with one to five venomous spines at the base. The underside is white. The size of an adult ray from wing tip to wing tip varies between 4 - 6.5 ft but can grow up to 8ft.
