Bocas Species Database Habitat: The specimens of this new species were found from a colony of Stichopathes lutkeni (Anthozoa). Natural History Notes: This species was named in memory of Ms Dorothea “Dot” Pelham, a long-term staff member of the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Depth: 15 m Characteristics: This species has a broad carapace with well developped antennal spines. The eyestalks are large, broad, and the cornea is not broader than unpigmented part. The body of the animal is generally transparent with some white transverse bands on the carapace. The eyestacks are also white. We can also distinguish some yellow chromatophores on the first and second periopods. |
