Distribution: Western Atlantic, from North Carolina to southern Brazil. Characteristics: Body very elongate, with numerous long cerata arranged in a series of arches. Rhinophores, oral tentacles, and food corners very elongate. Rhinophores with a several rings on apical half. Color very veraible, generally brownish with a central bluish white band running from head to posterior end of body. Some specimens have white pigment on rhinophores and cerata and yellow on head as well as additional blue bands. Size up to 30 mm.
