Habitat: Evergreen and semideciduous lowland forests, tolerates second growth forests and disturbed habitats. Less common in mature forests. Usually below 1000 m, but to 1550 m in Peru. Distribution: Mexico through Central America (especially Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica and Panama ), to Bolivia and E.
