Habitat: Present in shallow water Distribution: This species has been reported from the West Indies. Characteristics: Carditamera gracilis measures up to 1.5 inches long. The shell has an elongated shape and is quite strong. The anterior end is more rounded than the posterior end. The shell is covered by strong ribs. The color pattern consists of a grayish brown background on the outside, and of a white background on the inside along with purple patches.
