Habitat: This Thrush species favors undergrowth of humid forest habitats, in foothills on the Caribbean slope in Bocas del Toro. This species is only known from western foothills. Distribution: This species has been reported from eastern Mexico to western Panama. Natural History Notes: Conservation status according to IUCN 2008 Red list: Least Concern (LC). It is a resident species. Characteristics: This species has a total length of 15.2 cm (measured from tip of bill to end of tail). This bird has an orange bill, orange legs and this iris dark surrounded by an orange ring. The plumage is brown on the above, except for the black head. The part below is whitish with a grayer chest and some gray on the sides of the body. The female looks similar but has a more brownish crown.
