Adult: Species description based on Duellman (2001) and Savage (2002). A medium-sized treefrog (males to 45 mm, females to 50 mm). Dorsal: The dorsal surface is dark green with some white flecking or small dark spots. The sides are more yellow. The upper surfaces of the arms and legs are brownish. A white or yellowish upper lip line is generally present. Ventral: The ventral surface is greenish or yellowish and somewhat translucent. Eye: The iris is grey, with red-brown reticulations. Extremities: The feet are extensively webbed, but the hands are not. Webbing between the toes is yellow or orange.
Breeding season: Males are known to call from rocks in or along the edges of streams (Savage 2002). Tadpole: Tadpole bodies are oval-shaped with a long tail (Savage 2002). The dorsal surface is brown, the ventral surface pale silvery-green (Savage 2002). The tail is brown and pigmented, except along the top, where the coloration is more orange and some dark barring occurs (Savage 2002). The tadpole grows quite large (Savage 2002).
