Habitat: Found in cracks in wood a few cm from the ground up to head height. These spiders can vary from light tan to almost black depending on where they are found. The males are distinct from the females but only at maturity, where the males look much more hairy than the females, and lose the female/immature coloring. Characteristics: Medium-sized spiders (8-10 cm leg diameter), they live in cracks in wood a few cm from the ground up to head height.
