Habitat: This species can be easily found in the intertidal, in sand and mudflat pools, on reef pools during low tide, and inthe lower portions of estuaries. It is often found near mangroves. Distribution: This species has been reported from the Atlantic Ocean, the Arctic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Characteristics: Sexual dimorphism can be easily observed in Palaemon northropi, with females reaching larger sizes than males.
