Habitat: It usually hides in crevice of rocks. It feeds by filtration. Distribution: It is native from the Caribbean. Natural History Notes: This species can move for short distances by closing and opening its shell. Characteristics: Lima scabra measures between 6-8 cm. It has an ovoid shaped white shell that emcompasses an orange coat covered with orange tentacles. Interestingly, this species has an electrical arch within the orange coat.
