Habitat:
Shallow reef habitats and lagoons.
Distribution:
Caribbean wide, and tropical Atlantic
Depth:
5 - 8 m
Characteristics:
Upright, somewhat ramose masses with oscules (1-5 mm in diameter) on elevations or sprawling clumps of volcanoe-shaped oscular tubes. Variably pale purplish pink to salmon colored. Consistecy compressible, rather soft and slimy.
