Habitat: Found in shallow-water Thalassia beds and under rocks up to 14 m. Depth: 2-3 meters Characteristics: Maximum reported size: 80 mm. The soft parts of the animal are pale yellow-brown with lots of chocolate-brown or red-brown spots, mostly surrounded by a whitish area. The periostracum is greenish brown and axially fringed. Beneath is, the shell is shades of brown, banded to a variable extent with white. White and brown alternate on the varices. The operculum is yellow-brown. The outer lip is pale orange, and seven pairs of teeth are formed by the ends of raised lirae that continue weakly into the aperture. The columella is chocolate brown and the parietal wall is orange.
