Depth: 0 - 52 m Characteristics: Maximum reported size: 50 mm. The shell is creamy white, overlaid with patches or spiral lines of orange-brown. The protoconch has 2.5 whorls. The first half-whorl is whitish, and the final two whorls are brown and darker at the suture. The whorls are crossed by incised spiral lines, forming flat cords of varying width. There is a short row of axial riblets below the suture, and spiral cords are present.
