Habitat: Inhabit most reef enviroments. Usually developed lobes and knobs when growing in the open and exposed to bright light. Form irregular encrustations in shaded, protected areas reef, under ledge overhangs and on deep walls. Distribution: Caribbean and Southern-Florida Characteristics: Thinly encrusting, smal colonies, often with raised, tightly bunched lobes or knobs. Surface densely covered with separated, small, protruding corallites. Often green, but vary from yellow-brown to violet-brown, tan and gray.
