Habitat: This Flycatcher species can be found in open shrubby areas in the highlands. Distribution: This species has been reported from Mexico to western Panama. Natural History Notes: The White-throated Flycatcher is mostly known for its powerful song, consisting of buzzy "pseeyp" or "kseeyip". Although the song is powerful, it is not particularly loud. Conservation status according to IUCN 2008 Red list: Least Concern (LC). Characteristics: The total length of this species varies between 12 cm and 12.7 cm (measured from tip of bill to end of tail). This bird has an olive brown plumage on the above with a yellow bege ring around the eye and beige wing-bars. The throat is whitish and the breast and the sides of the body and olive brown. The belly is beige, becoming yellowish on the under tail-coverts.
