Polyp: Colonies stolonal, arising from creeping hydrorhiza. Pedicels long, thick, annulated basally, and with occasional annuli but mostly smooth; distal end of pedicel with sub-hydrothecal spherule. Hydrothecae shallow, cup-shaped, wide at diaphragm, with thin perisarc; margin entire, occasionally oblique; diaphragm thin, slightly oblique; basal chamber shallow. Reproduction: Gonothecae fusiform basally, truncated distally; walls smooth, with rounded aperture. Only juvenile medusae known. Ecology and Distribution: Circumglobal in Atlantic and Pacific waters. Known in Bocas del Toro from vicinity of Manuguar Cay.
