Leaf type and arrangement: simple, alternate, undulating Ethno uses: fruit used traditionally for earache, leaves for healing wounds and bathing away body odor. Leaves are rich in antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Volatile oils found in stems, rhysomes, flowers. Groups: used by people in Porehu District of Indonesia for: Diahrea, canker sores, heartburn and even to treat TYPHOID FEVER!
