Years, later the collection was moved to the Tupper site where it now occupies 150 Cornell drawers and includes voucher material from STRI visitors and staff. The collection is strongest in Asilidae (robber flies), Pentatomidae (stink bugs), Reduviidae (assassin bugs), and Passalidae (betsy beetles) groups that were targeted by visiting specialists.Synoptic Insect Collectionaielloa@si.eduhttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-5233-4841http://biogeodb.stri.si.edu/bioinformatics/insect_collection/index.phpAielloAnnette aielloa@si.eduCuratorhttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-5233-4841contentProviderRiveraMarleny Data Technician/PhotographerRiveraME@si.eduhttps://orcid.org/0000-0003-1231-4579contentProviderTo the extent possible under law, the publisher has waived all rights to these data and has dedicated them to the 2024-03-29T08:58:30-07:00STRI Research Portal - a4abdaa3-e614-476d-88e7-cf394afad2ecUTF-8Darwin Core Archivehttps://panamabiota.org/stri/collections/misc/collprofiles.php?collid=20STRIENTOSynoptic Insect Collectionhttps://stricollections.org/portal/content/collicon/stri.jpghttp://biogeodb.stri.si.edu/bioinformatics/insect_collection/index.phphttp://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/STRIAielloAnnette aielloa@si.eduCuratorhttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-5233-4841RiveraMarleny Data Technician/PhotographerRiveraME@si.eduhttps://orcid.org/0000-0003-1231-4579STRI Synoptic Insect Collection was begun on Barro Colorado Island in 1977 by Robert Silberglied and Annette Aiello as a general collection to give researchers an overview of the BCI insect fauna and to permit preliminary identifications for research vouchers.
